Windmill Nursery has been serving the Sacramento Area since 1996. A family owned and operated full service nursery and gift shop that has kept these same goals in mind: We strive for excellence and take pride in our work. Being a Sacramento Nursery, firmly rooted in California’s Mediterranean climatic, we work to provide perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees that flourish in a climate that is defined by moderate winter rainfall and warm dry summers. Inspired by our Sacramento Valley conditions, we encourage gardeners to plant with a sense of responsibility, an open mind, and an air of adventure. We carry the largest selection of Drought Tolerant and Xeriscape plants in Sacramento. We were doing drought tolerant before it was “cool”.
We draw from our Native California Plants as well as from the other Mediterranean floras of the world; Australia, South Africa, Chile and the Mediterranean Basin, & we carry the largest selection of UC Davis Arboretum All-Stars. It is Windmill Nursery’s hope that by offering these plants we can provide Sacramento Gardeners an alterative to the water thirsty landscape.
We also carry a full selection of Traditional Landscape Plants, Roses, Fruit Trees, Pond supplies & aquatic plants, organic fertilizers & soil, Gift Shop, and we offer numerous FREE Garden Clinics. Windmill Nursery is your Sacramento destination.
