Let's just be honest here - the Virgin Sturgeon is an odd, odd place and it isn't going to appeal to everybody. One look at their Yelp reviews and you'll see everything from it's disgusting, dirty, weird and smells like pee, with bad food to boot, to it's cozy, charming, unique and the food is delicious. The truth is somewhere in the middle. It IS unique AND it's old, worn and a tad sticky with a tiny bit of a smell that testifies to that fact, but I am one of those people who find it charming. From the oddball entrance down an old airliner jetway, to sitting on a barge on the Sacramento River, to the absolutely delicious seafood coquille they served me, I enjoyed it all, to the extent that I didn't mind the slightly musty smell. It's a must try, at least once, even if just for the experience!
