Freeport Bakery is one of the BEST things about moving to Sacramento, especially Land Park. FREEPORT BAKERY is within walking distance of my house, and that's good because I LOVE THIS BAKERY! The sugar cookies with the beautiful colorful icing are my weakness! My husband loves the quiche (Lorraine) and my mother-in-law loves the frosted brownies. The great-grandkids will eat anything they can get their hands on. Its a great bakery and the cakes, OH, THE CAKES!!!! They are to DIE FOR THEY ARE SOOOOOO GOOOOOD, My vote goes to Freeport Bakery for the A-List!!!!!!

Taylor's is the BEST MARKET ANYWHERE. We love shopping at Taylor's. My husband and I go by almost every day, if not every other day, and it's like visiting family. Everyone knows us by name. They know what things we like, and if they are out of something, or don't carry a brand or item we would like, they will order it special. The BUTCHERS are FABULOUS!! Not only will they cut a piece of meat exactly the way you want it, they will even give you advice on your recipe, what kind of cheese would really make your casserole extra special. I never cease to be amazed at the lengths they will go to REALLY HELP A CUSTOMER OUT! Richard (Dick) over in the wine dept. always have a suggestion for a good wine for your meal, and is really just a neat guy. We always get a smile and a laugh, which is nice when you've had a rough day. The CHECKERS always do their best to get everyone checked out quick and will carry your bags to the car, EVEN IN THE POURING RAIN! The produce always looks like someone hand-picked each and every piece, and Felicia will always try to find that special cheese for your dish or your party. And Jerry, does the most fabulous cooking for those of us too tired to make dinner. On Thanksgiving and holidays, it is generally just my husband and I, and why go to to all the trouble to make up a big meal when you can buy smaller portions of what you really want. AND IT TASTES JUST LIKE HOMEMADE (in my case, BETTER than homemade!). All in all, THEY ARE THE BEST AT WHAT THEY DO, WHICH IS A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS - BUT THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. AND THAT'S A TALL ORDER. Good luck, TAYLOR'S IS THE BEST!!!!!!!
