They play catchy tunes and you can't help but to get up and dance along with them. Their music is definitely current for the ages, and yet it brings back pleasant memories of times long ago. I love Mumbo Gumbo ever since I first saw them 8 years ago at the Concert in the Park on a memorable Friday night. One thing I like about them, aside from their creative and innovative music is their name. This will never happen, but I always wanted a T-shirt from an imaginative future concert with Mumbo Gumbo opening for Cumba Wumba.

Mark & Monica's Family Pizza

This is truly the best pizza I have ever had. A former boyfriend introduced me to them 10 years ago (the Carmichael restaurant) and I haven't bothered to order pizza from any other chain or independent store since, regardless of price. My parents (out of town) and my brother (also out of town) were treated to this pizza during visits and they agreed that they had never had a better pizza. In fact, when they are able to come visit, I tend to plan at least one evening where M&M pizza will be delivered as it is considered a very special treat. Mark & Monica have a small business value, in customer service and in serving the best food possible. They have never been late with a pizza delivery and their drivers are courteous and professional - I tend to tip them more than 20% just because the service is so great, and the pizza is always perfectly cooked and very hot when I get it; never late, never cold; never comparable to any other chain pizza place that I've frequented. Their care and consideration shows in the pizza that they create, and I hope that M&M will continue on with their pizzas and family-oriented service and entertainment in their restaurants for years to come. I cannot speak higher about any restaurant that I do about Mark & Monica's.
