The Right Steps specializes in Group Training & Socialization Classes for Puppies 8 weeks to 8 months, and continued education classes upon graduation. We also offer Private Lessons (at the Facility, In-Home, & Offsite) for Puppies and Dogs of "All" Ages and a Small Dog Play Group. Our "Adult Dog Class 'Combined With' Field Trips" is a very popular Class for older pups and dogs of all ages! We offer positive training methods for both dogs and owners. Our goal is to set owners and their puppies and dogs up to succeed and enjoy their relationship now and long into the future.

I Loved Cindy and The Right Steps we had a great time during our training sessions and learned so much Sophie knows sit, down, heel, come, & roll over(just a few to name a few) We really enjoyed our training and I have used the skills with other aspects of training Sophie too. Cindy was awesome and always had time to answer any questions I had. She fitted Sophie for a special harness, we used it and it worked to end her pulling issues! I was so impressed with how much we got for the price of her training even a 30 min play session. Petsmart was even more expensive. Sophie is an awesome dog thanks to all her training! The facility even has a pee-wee Play group on Saturdays for dogs under 15 lbs that Sophie loved going to. We Love Cindy and The Right Steps!
Cindy has an amazing way with animals and people too! She trains us as well as the dogs and knows the tricks that make dogs listen. Her mehthods are fast and efefctive.
We have enrolled our Lab, Ollie in several classes. Cindy does a nice job and has a real love for the animal. The human element in this equation also learns as well. Socialization of these animals in her classes is extremely beneficial to a well mannered dog of any breed. We highly recommend her.
Cindy does a nice job with positive training...excellent for first time owners or those who have little experience in training dogs. I use her for my puppy raising/training for hospital visiting teams. Little Boom even appreciated her! Thank you, Cindy
I've attended 3 classes at the Right Steps and it was really a wonderful experience! Cindy was kind and patient with both me and my puppy...she really gave me confidence I needed to take on the responsibility of having a dog.

A fantastic positive experience, the benefits of this training program are exceptional. With both a focus on training and socialization, the balance of the classes allows for growth in the dog (whatever the age) as well as the owner. Cindy Smith (the Trainer) exhibits a genuine love of animals and a wish to assist in their growth. This love is coupled with a hefty ability as a trainer, making her and her classes all around fantastic!
Never has positive training been needed so badly and the Right Steps has help me so much in the last 5 yrs. I have 2 pitbulls and Abby is a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and I owe that to the Right Steps. Both my dogs are rescues and The Right Steps lead me in the right direction to help me raise these dogs in the the wonderful members of my family. I know without this assistance they would be much more challenging. I love the instructor and the classes. I have made lifetime friendships at this facility. The things I have learned here are invaluable.
We have participated in Cindy Smith's Right Steps classes since both of our Bearded Collies were young puppies. I firmly believe that her focus on socialization in the classes has allowed our dogs to be very friendly to people and dogs alike.
