There is a story about a hamburger stand and bar near the building site of Folsom Dam on Green Valley Road. As the story goes the building owner was able to get some left over paint from the site and when it was mixed it was purple and so this establishment is called the Purple Place Bar & Grill.
We've been in Folsom for 13 yrs, and frequent them for breakfast mostly (wonder why no one has nominated them for breakfast). we recently were turned onto their burgers, and oh my gosh! Aside from a true home-made burger, this has to be the best burger anywhere.
The service is amazing as well, always friendly, always fast, and we appreciate that!
I've lived in the area for many years and have alway thought the Purple Place was a diamond in the rough. Boy, was I right! After 50-some yeas in business, The Purple Place has finally reached it's potential. Fabulous food with a fun and family friendly environment! Nice to see the EDH landmark refurbished! Thanks for fixing up the Shuffleboard table and adding the great new Patio seating!
WOW... what a change. This place has really cleaned up! The new owners Mike and Denise have turned this place around for the better. The staff is wonderful as well!!!
