The DG2, as it is so affectionately called, is located on a 20 acre ranch and has a special effects and set building shop, a sound and film editing studio, as well as the dance studio with all the amenities right on property. This combination of rural setting and professional dance studio has been offering it's "dance family" and the surrounding communities unique and amazing dance experiences for over 16 years. The DG2 , along with the "world famous " DG2 Backstage Crew, the great DG2 staff, wonderfully skilled teachers and happy students, produce stage productions that are said to match what is seen in New York or Las Vegas and donate proceeds to the Sutter Memorial Child Life Program. Their director, Miss Lucy, is also assistant to the director of the"Dance the Magic" production company, which offers dance students from all over the world opportunities to perform in Disneyland and Walt Disney World parades, showcases and events. The Dance Gallery 2 is a very special place for dancers of all ages and abilities. Indeed!
I love DG2. This is my ninth year dancing here! The teachers are awesome and I love performing on stage!!!!!!!!!!! Every year I look forward to learning new steps and having fun.
The DG2 is awesome and I am proud to be the son of Miss Lucy. For 15 years I lived in the house that houses the studio and they were some of the best years of my life. I have gained some of my best friends of all time through the studio and would like to thank everyone who is involved in the studio with all of my heart.
The dance program for adults is one of the best out there. I've made lots of new friends in both my adult tap and jazz classes. Thanks to all the instructors (Steve, Patrick, Nick, Ashley) and especially to Miss Lucy for providing a much needed break during our hectic lives!
This is my tenth year as a "dancegal" and I'm addicted! Class night is the highlight of my week! (YAY Ashley, Patrick & Steve!!) Just come to one of the performances and you'll want to be part of the fun, too!
I absolutely love the the Dance Gallery 2. After searching for years for the "right" studio for me in DG2. The classes are great, definitely fun, and have absolutely helped me into being a better dancer. The teachers are amazing, and year after year, the shows are crazy awesome. =] I have been both in the audience, and a performer, and I honestly couldn't tell you which is better. The special effects are unbelievable, we've had people flying around a stage, fireworks, even a full-out movie!! The DG2 is the best dance studio in Sacramento.
Hey I've been dancing at DG2 for 10 years! I've loved every one of those years. I've made soo many friends it's CRAZY! I LOVE the instructers (Nick, Desseray..., Katie) and I always have a good time. the shows are amazing and have a lot of depth. Shout out to my class. It's been a great 10 years and I'm looking forward to a lot more.
Miss Lucy and the DG2 teachers and students have welcomed our (ever changing with foster care) family for over 5 years. We are very sad to have had to move to Texas this month and lose one of the best dance and relationship experiences our family has ever experienced. I danced 5 years with the adult dancers right along with my children and will never forget all the priceless memories we take with us! Thank you all!
I was a dancer at DG2 for about 8 years. I love all the teachers, and I had so much fun learning all the different kinds of dance routines. I have not been dancing for the last year and I truly miss it so much. The DG2 has taught me a lot more than just how to dance. They taught me discipline, and dedication. The experiences I had at DG2 were ones that I will never forget, like the chance to dance on stage with my DAD in the father daughter dance. The chance to perform at Disneyland and the chance to perform with such a professional staff
has made me a DANCE fan forever. Thanks Miss Lucy and everyone at the DG2.
The Dance Gallery 2 has been such a unique gift . My daughter Marie Humble has learned so much. She learned not only how to dance, but this gave her the chance to feel like a real STAR. If gave her the confidence and such great self esteem. What better gift can you give your child than that. I love the staff, the atmosphere, and the dedication and disipline she learned from the DG2. It was through this Dance studio that Marie is who she is today. I can't believe how professional the June Showcase is. I watch the show and feel so proud it makes me cry with joy. No other dance studio can compare to the lessons learned at DG2. Miss Lucy is an amazing lady, and I look up to her with great respect.
