The event center is situated on a pine-filled acre along the south-western edge of Sly Park’s Jenkinson Lake—the perfect setting for your next event! Outside the facility there is plenty of room for up to 100 guests. There’s a barbeque area as well as picnic tables and a large deck overlooking the lake. Inside, the house can hold up to 50 people. There is one large room and a smaller room, as well as a full kitchen with utensils, large coffee pots, a stove, refrigerator, and microwave.
More than 400,000 visitors can’t be wrong! Every year, EID’s Sly Park Recreation Area and the District’s other recreation sites rank among the most popular destinations in northern California’s El Dorado County. Campers, hikers, boaters, anglers, equestrians, photographers, and all-around nature lovers enjoy Sly Park as well as EID facilities at Silver Lake, Caples Lake, and Forebay Reservoir.
And once again our visitors voted Sly Park Recreation Area as the "Best Recreational Facility" in the 2010 Readers' Choice survey published by the Mountain Democrat.
Sly Park is a wonderful place to bring the whole family for an unforgettable camping experience. The park features 8 family campgrounds that contain a total of 191 individual sites, each with a picnic table, fire ring, and barbecue. Vault toilets and water faucets are nearby.
Reservations for family campsites are accepted all year long and up to 14 months in advance. All fees due at time of booking.
Day-use picnic areas are located throughout Sly Park Recreation Area. One large day-use area is located a half mile from the gatehouse entrance, and all are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Jenkinson Lake has over 640 surface acres of water, 2 boat launch facilites, offering water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, cruising, and sailing.
A short drive to a very beautiful lake with excellent campsites, day use areas, hiking, fishing, biking, boating, swimming. Very clean and well maintained. A real gem.

How beautiful and green this forest and recreation area is and continues to be year after year. You can't find a closer recreation area that has so much to offer.
