River City Theatre Company provides young people with the opportunity to develop skills, self-confidence and self-esteem through learning all aspects of musical theater in a positive supportive workshop environment. From a passionate Les Miserables to Peter Pan flying out to the audience, and the emotional and heartwarming Fiddler on the Roof, RCTC’s quality performances delight all from 2 to 102. Audiences marvel that it’s hard to believe you are watching children their voice and dancing is so professional. We attribute our children’s confidence level in school and public speaking directly to their exposure on stage with RCTC. After all the bows are taken, we will long remember the RCTC family and experience as molding our children into well-rounded confident adults.

RCTC is legitimate theater. The actors may be a little younger than what you may see on Broadway but they are no less talented. RCTC shows are full scale productions with creative sets, great acting and live music. It is the best thing I have ever put my child in.

and I love it! The staff really cares about you and makes sure you are having fun. Every day I can't wait to go to practice on the weekends! Every one seems like a close family. And the environment is very open and friendly.

They put together the best shows with the most children. Other young theater groups limit the number of performers but not RCTC, they give everyone a chance to be in the production (150 - 200 performers) and their shows are still high-quality - that's what makes them the best! Also, because of the large number of performers, none of the performers have an opportunity to win an Elly award -- other companies try so hard to win Elly awards and make that their priority - RCTC's priority is to ensure all children have the opportunity to experience the magic of theater.
