My boyfriend and I have been to this store three times since moving to Sacramento. Not only are they the best place to go in Sac, but the staff are truly amazing. The saleswoman even brought a product out to my car to try on my dog. They are the BEST!!

Fahd, Sam & Leith are always extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's hard to find places like this in this day and age and they make it easy to want to return again and again.

The customer service is the best in Sacramento by Far, we have 4 German Shepards of our own and several Rescue dogs threw out the year. The Pet Department Store has never let us down, they have always had the quanity and quality of supplies we have needed over the years, and if you like me and don't have a lot time on your hands, the staff will have you in and out of the store with a smile on your face. They go above and beyond.

Ditto to everything Friendly Faces said. I get birdseed by the 50 lb. bags and they are much more conscientious about keeping them in stock, or special ordering, them than the previous store I dealt with.

When I go to the Pet Department Store it feels like visiting family.
The owner and staff are always friendly and personable. They make a point of remembering me and what I need for my pets.
Their prices are comparable or lower than the big box pet stores and the staff are knowledgeable.
The Pet Department Store stocks the specialty brands of food that I want and when the pet food recall occurred last year they made sure to keep me informed about the safety of my pets food choices.

Foad and Sam are fantastic...very helpful and knowledgeable, and kind. I look forward to my visits...and my dogs and cats love the variety of treats and toys. The Pet Department Store is also very supportive of "Rescue"...an important part of the animal community.

Foad, Sam and Audrey are all very knowledgeable and keep it real when it comes to animal nutrition. They will tell you up front when you are giving your pet less than great food and products.
