No doubt -- Osteria Fasulo is the epitome of the finest that classical Italian dining has to offer. And to think, this diamond of a restaurant is nestled in our own city of Davis! The unique five-course menu featured at Osteria allows diners to enjoy a bevy of delectable and inventive dishes; my absolute favorites being the Harris Ranch filet carpaccio, Osteria's signature insalata della casa (in its own delicious parmesan-basket), their risotto and the best --their magnificent vitello (veal-chop topped with foie gras and truffles!) Plus, every dessert offered at Osteria is a perfect way to finish-off the night (always fresh, never overly-rich). From the aforementioned magic that Executive Chef Adam Walsworth makes in his kitchen, to the tableside visits by the amiable proprietor himself, Leo Fasulo, each night spent at Osteria is not just a dinner but an experience... and one that shouldn't be passed up! Truly the most exceptional Italian restaurant this side of Piemonte.

This is the best Italian Restaurant in the Sacramento area. It is outstanding and they make the best Lasagne Bolognese I have ever had.It is a wonderful little place, romantic and they take very good care of you. Wish we had a place like this in El Dorado Hills.

Leonardo is one of the most charming people I've met, so it is only natural that his restaurant fit that very persona. The restaurant is not only charming, but the wait staff is polite and on top of things. They always smile, and are willing to answer any question you might have. Adam does a wonderful job preparing the food. I can honestly say the food at Osteria Fasulo’s restaurant is simply heaven on earth. I have eaten there a fair amount of times, and every time I have gotten something different, never once be disappointed. I love trying new things, and when Adam prepares it, I am all too confident I will love whatever he puts in front of me. Osteria Fasulo has met, and exceeded, every expectation I have for the perfect restaurant.

It's a little difficult to find but your adventure is rewarded when you are seated at this wonderful Italian restaurant overseen by Leonardo Fasulo. There is an intimate dining room or wonderful patio dining from which to choose. Osteria Fasulo's menu changes with the seasons since Leonardo grows many of his own herbs and vegetables next to the outside patio. I have eaten there many times and it is always my favorite place to bring dinner guests - even when family visits from Italy! My Italian mother insists it is the best Italian food in the United States, other than hers! Barbara Corsini Mills

Osteria Fasulo is a magical restaurant nestled in the most beautiful community gardens. My fiancee and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, which consistently serves amazing food in a very intimate setting. The owner is charming and friendly, truly treating his guests as friends. He had always told us if there was something we missed from a different seasonal menu that they could make it for us if we called ahead. In December, my fiancee called in a menu request made up of our favorites from years gone by. I don't think a single dish was actually on the current menu, but they accommodated us graciously (and of course it didn't hurt that I also got a marriage proposal that night). Personal associations aside, this restaurant is well worth the drive and the price. Plan on a long meal and wander through the gardens between courses.

The best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. This is the only place I have ever been where I paid a lot for the food and did not regret one penny. The food and ambiance are simply amazing. Everyone must try this place at least once.

Terrible atmosphere!!! We were seated next to cut out that held the vacume cleaner and next to the half wall that separates the kitchen from the dining area - we heard all the wait staff conversations, breaking glass, and telephone calls. I have better ambience at home!!! The owner did come around-wearing jeans and a soccer jersey!!! For the price, I'd rather eat at Bibas!!! When we left, they packaged our unfinished wine in a re-gifted bottle bag. When the waiter saw she left the completed To: and From: tag on she was pretty embarassed. I also hated that they were doing a "hard sell" at the end asking us to get on this website and "vote for them". Pretty tacky!!!!

Small and intimate, Osteria Fasulo has great food, good service, personality and consistency. The veal chop with foie gras is tremendous. The other entrees and fresh pasta dishes are wonderful. Try their house salad served in a parmesan basket.
