On The "Y" has Rockstar Karaoke every Thurs and a showcase of local and national bands every Friday and Saturday, and during the week. Staffed w/ people who know their music and decorated w/ music memerabilla and photos this is Sacramento's only venue were it is realy about the music.
"On the Y" is just one of the really fun places to go for a beer or a drink to meet your friends, maybe play a little pool. There are friends you know from one week to the next and new people who are frineds you haven't yet met. This is a bar where the bartender knows your name (or call sign in my case), what you drink and what you like to sing on karaoke night. (Larissa, you're great) There is a wide range of ages and all seem to be friendly with each other. And the bar prices are sooo reasonable. Specials are fun and also reasonaby priced. Sacramento is really fortunate to have a neighborhood bar like On the Y. Come on out and become a part of the family. Not like the Manson family or anything, but you know.....
