The Schoolhouse is entirely run by unpaid volunteers who are knowledgeable and friendly. Many of the dolls, sunbonnets, and other available items are homemade by volunteers. The Schoolhouse benefits the entire community and the tourists with its many programs; especially the field trips available to classrooms at the best rates in town. and the annual 4th grade essay contest.
