Midtown Stomp offers swing dancing every Friday night at the Eastern Star Ballroom at 28th and K Street in Midtown Sacramento. Join our beginning swing dancing lesson from 8-9pm and dance from 9-12pm. All of our lessons are social and rotate partners, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun, and you're sure to meet new people and have a great time! You don't need a partner! If you have a partner and do not wish to rotate, that's no problem. Admission is only $6 on DJ'd nights and $10 on live band nights and includes the lesson.
We have swing dancing lessons for everyone at every level. Our beginning East Coast Swing Class will get you out on the dance floor for the first time. We have a full hour, so we always teach the basics and some more fun things for you to expand your dancing with. This class is drop-in each week and included with the price of admission.

A band can play at a lot of places and sound good. But there's very few places that you can also find ample room to dance and great, friendly people to dance with. Midtown Stomp is one of those places.

Two years ago, swing dancing in Sac. almost died. Ron and Scottie would not let that happen. So with the help of many dedicated friends, they created Midtown Stomp to provide a low cost, drug and alcohol free environment for swing to grow. Now Midtown Stomp is the largest live music venue in Sac and certainly the best.

Midtown Stomp Provides lessons for the guys who don't know how to dance...they bring back one of the coolest and most fun dances of all American History!! It sure beats Square Dancing...their dancers are highly experienced and you always have fun! If i could, I would go everyday.
