Mamma Susanna’s Ristorante Italiano is located in River Park, which is a neighborhood across from Sacramento State University J St. Entrance. The Restaurant was opened in June 2004. Antonio is the mastermind behind the recipes and the great authentic hospitality we enjoy offering to our customers. Antonio has only been in the U.S for about 16 years. He still has that Italian palate that is a wonder and a gift for he brings us authentic simple tastes and then it becomes something beyond just filling our stomachs. His wife and mother-in-law accompany him as they run the business together.

The ABSOLUTE BEST Italian food in the Sacramento area. Having grown up in a food-loving Italian family I am very particular in what I like and have not found any other restaurant that can compare. My favorite meal would be the Gnocchi Sorrento paired with the Polenta e Funghi -- I would recommend to anyone who is looking for fantastic food, amazing service and a great time.

The ONLY place in Sacramento that I have found to have authentic Italian food and feel. It's a friendly hole-in-the-wall kind of place with delicious food!

The food is simply the best and the staff is wonderful. You feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
