The prices for accessories were the best I found. The staff are not bike snobs or aloof to the customer. I have found in shopping around that shops are either heavy on customer service but not competitively priced or have a staff of random "dudes" that are more into what they are doing in their bike microcosm than helping people get into what they need. I was very satisfied with Mad Catz based on my shopping experience.
Mad Cats offers incredible service. All the folks at the shop ride and are incredibly active in various events, races, etc. These guys/gals truly love bikes.
Since I moved to Sacramento, I have always gone to Mad Cat Bicycles for everything concerning my bike. Since the first bike I purchased from their shop(I'm now on bike 6, I believe) they have always delivered on great service and unparalleled knowledge on every bike in their wide selection. Been over a year and I just brought it in to mad cats for it's first tune up =) They even diagnosed a problem with my fork that I hadn't noticed before it had been pointed out. I rely on my bike for transportation everywhere in Sacramento. I couldn't trust it to any one else.
