my family,and some of our friends have been long time customers of both luis sr,and luis jr's,and we will continue to be as long as he has a resturant.we do miss luis sr very much,and some of the other staff also such as lupe,luis's has always been our favorite mexican resturant,the food is always hot,and very good,and the service is great,we are looking forward to seeing everyone at luis jr's again soon,so until then,and even after then keep up the good work everyone,you've made luis sr very proud.god bless virginia

I first ate at Luis's in 1965. The food was so good that I use it as the standard which I judge all other mexican food by. with the possible exception of the Xochomilco in Stockton, there is no finer mexican food anywhere. I now live in Mexico and I have yet to find anything to compare with Luis's. I would give up my retirement for his receipt for chili colorado!

My husband Matt and I have always enjoyed the food especially the steak ranchero my husbands favorite since he was a little child. We now include our 5 yr. old Isabella, we will always have great memories of Luis' the old and the new thanks honey for the introduction.

I have gone twice and the food is good, although the portions are small. The service is not great at all, with the exception of the man behind the register. There are definitely better restaurants in the area. I do not recommend this one based on the service alone.

Luis Jr's has good food but I miss Lupe. She was the one that ran Luis's. I belive this is her brothers place now. Its just not the same without Lupe. I miss Luis Sr too. All the photos and memorys. ;( Bring Lupe back !

I've been eating at Luis's since 1974 when I moved to Sacramento and they were located on Alhambra Blvd. Food is excellent, taste is excellent, and service is always courteous and prompt, and their Margaritas are supreme!

Luis Jr.'s is by far the best mexican restaurant in california. I've been to many through out california, and none can compare to the ambience of Luis Jr's. None can compare to the friendly service that Luis Jr's have to offer..and personally, I think KCRA has grossly misjudged or placed Luis Jr.'s, by having them listed in the cheap eats...they should be with the "Great Meals". Luis Jr.'s will always be great to me...Thank you for your attention and service Luis Jr., The rest of the mexican restaurants can learn from you.
