Lava Cap winery and vineyards are located in El Dorado County, high in the foothills of the magnificent Sierra Nevada. We offer an outstanding selection of mountain-grown wines that are noted for intense varietal flavors and aromas. Most of our wines are produced from our estate vineyards, which are under the diligent care of Charlie Jones, Vineyard manager. Low yields and lots of sunlight, warm days and cool nights, all contribute to grapes of marvelous character.
