I feel that non commercial media offers a less (not "un") biased view, less dependent upon sensationalism and sound bites.

The best news and informative real
info I can trust (NPR). Also most
innovative and entertaining jazz
programming . Especially enjoy listening when Gary Vercelli is
hosting. He feels like family after so
many years in Sac.

News that isn't just sound bites and a great sound - the local stuff sounds just as good as the national stuff. Radio for people with working brains.

Listen "to "Blue's Party" on Saturday after 1:oo in the afternoon and weekdays & weekkends after 7:00 pm......commercial free excellence in jazz.....I've heard music I never knew existed on the planet! I found "Zero One" and "Genuine" and "Four 80 East" there....wow!

The only place you can get real unbiased in-depth reporting. Also stories you just can't get anywhere else, not just sound bites.

No question about it. CPR is a civic treasure. We should all be proud to be part of a community that supports something this good.

I find out all the important information before I hear it on the "Big 3" networks or online. They cut out the junk and give you the real news. Also their features are about world happenings instead of local crime and sex related stories.

I LOVE classical music, all of the announcers and Garrison Keillor. I have 5 radios on 24/7 in my home and 88.9 on my car radio. And I do volunteer at the station.

It is the most informative radio station on the air. I trust their news reporting. They are unbiased. I love the local news coverage and they cover the arts, important and controversial topics. Their staff/hosts are articulate and intelligent. There is nothing offensive about this very high quality radio station. My car radio is always tuned to 90.9 unless my 19 year-old son is in the car with me!

It is part of my daily life. Love all the programs, especially Jeffery Callison's insight! Arts, science, news and community. It touches every subject to make for a more informed and abundant life!
Thanks CPR!

Nothing beats public radio! It is like the modern-day agora! The latest news, politics, science, literature and arts, biography, etc., all with interesting expert commentary and debate. I am never bored on my commute because I can be challenged by my favorite radio channel, I can arrive having learned something new every day. You've got to include them in your A-list!
