Keller’s opened at its current location in McHenry Village in 1978. In the 25 years since, Keller’s has remained family owned and operated. In 2002, their daughters, Joyce and Cherie, took ownership of the store. With the addition of Cherie’s son, Joshua, the store has been moving in exciting new directions.
I've had both very good and questionable experiences here, but generally the good outweighs the bad. When I'm looking for a special gift or a unique kitchen item, my car is on auto pilot to their door. While I would sing their praises for selection, I've been treated like a non-person on occassion (more than once) in the course of my shopping ventures. If you have thin skin or a thin pocketbook, this is not the place for you.
Keller's is much more than just a great place to shop. For many people, it's an experience and a tradition. The store is a gem for the ever-growing city of Modesto; keeping a family-owned comfortable feel and providing the elegance one would expect to find in a big city.
