JR's Mesquite Smoked Beef Brisket stands alone as the best brisket...even by Texas standards. Voted 1ST place for 19 yrs. My husband and I aren't big fans of the type of food that cost a lot and you only get two bites that taste like cardboard. So when we found JR's we were so excited! Becasue their food taste great and they are afforable. We had him cater our wedding two years ago and not only was the food AWESOME, but JR personally came to serve the food! The customer service is also great. They're the best there is.

AUTHENTIC Texas brisket with all the fixin's. JR's is the REAL DEAL for us displaced Texans looking for a taste of home. The potato salad and beans are just as fabulous and the staff is very friendly. A truly great place!

My husband and I think that you are the greatest bbq place in Sacramento. We eat there at least once a week. JR is the nicest guy that you could ever meet. He is very generous by always giving to the community. Excellent caterer. We have been to several functions in the area that have had Texas BBQ as their caterer's. Always excellent . They have never let us down. Keep up the good work JR!
