The tasting room is located in Camino, just off Highway 50 at the Carson Road exit - a quick right and 100yds on the right, in the heart of Apple Hill. Those of you who have "survived" the trip to our remote vineyard and winery, as well as those who have been daunted by it, will welcome the opportunity to taste our award winning wines surrounded by the warmth and comfort of our beautiful tasting room, with views almost as delightful as our wines.

This one was tough. Lots of good wineries in the area. They get the nod fo the great wine but most of all the hospitality. The food pairings didn't hurt either. Lisa is awesome!

I really enjoyed the bottle of Elva wine! I wish I had purchased more than the one bottle when I was on the wine tour. It has so much flavor, it is absolutely delicious!

I would describe Jodar wines as exquisite. They are very fine wines, especially the Cab Franc, Sangeovese, Barbera and, of course, their wonderful Port. I give Jodar wines as gifts to close friends and relatives.

Jodar winery has the nicest, friendliest, knowledgeable staff. They have numerous fun filled events, good food, the best truffles to go with the best port wine around. Their cabernet sauvignion is one of the best!

Joni & Vaughn, the owners, are warm, wonderful, and always a pleasure to chat with. Vaughn's knowledge of wine and the wine industry is impressive, and all of the wines they produce are excellent. The Black Bear Port is especially divine! I'd rather purchase & drink Jodar wine any day of the week over most wines from the Napa/Sonoma "Wine Country."

There is no finer winemaker and gracious crew than the Jodar family. And did I mention that besides making a world class port, Vaughn and Joni make only superb and full bodied natural wines. Not a bad wine yet and they only get better over time in the wine cellar.
