From the moment you walk in the "Granite Rock Grill" you feel the energy and love that pours off Kay as she greets you, seats you, and gets to know you. "This quality of my wife is rarely found nowadays." Rich insists. "It's not something she works at it comes natural!" "Kay loves what she does." From the front of the restaurant to the back you'll see to feel this charismatic energy working. Rich insists on using the finest meats and produce from the most reputable purveyors. We bake our hamburger buns, cinnamon Rolls, and Biscuits daily. "It just doesn't get any fresher then this!" Rich said. The "Granite Rock Grill" has ventured to do something a little different with the menu.
I just viited this place for the first time today, and it will certainly not be the last. The food, service and decor were fantastic, and is in a very convenient location. The atmosphere when you walk in is like you have known these people(the staff) all your life and you are just going in to visit old friends, they make you feel very welcome and that they are happy to see you. They don't rush you in and out like some other places.

They are EXTREMELY kid-friendly. When my kids sat down they handed them each a bag of Teddy Grahams and an Etch-a-Sketch. Also, on the menu it said if the kids eat their entire meal they can have a Tootsie-Pop on the way out. Having them occupied and well-behaved in a restaurant means we are much likelier to return! And, the food was GREAT!!!!!!
Kay and Rich are some of the nicest people in the business. Their food is not just good - it's excellent. Everything on the menu is good, especially the Eggs Benedict, the Home Fries, and the Country Fried Steak. Great food, great people. It's easy to see why they are Rocklin's best breakfast / lunch restaurant.

If you are looking for friendly service, excellant food, and a comfy atmosphere then the Granite Rock Grill is where to go! Kay and Rich run their business like a well oiled machine! All of the waitresses and staff are friendly and eager to serve you. We definately look forward to our week-end breakfast visits and to see our extended family!! MMM love those waffles!
I have been eating breakfast (frnech toast, sausage and eggs) every Sunday for the last two years, and hope to continue for many more! The food is great, price reasonable, friendly staff and my group of five can be in and out in an hour no matter how busy it is or what we order. I always leave fat, happy, and feeling like I know one of the best kept secrets to great breakfast dining.
My family and extended family have been avid Granite Rock customers ever since Rich and Kay moved in. When my son and daughter-in-law visit from out of town, the "Rock" is their first choice for breakfast and lunch. Every time we we stop by we feel like we are visiting old friends that just happen to cook the best meals around. Their staff is great too, friendly, courtious, efficient, and most of all, they have a genuine concern for the customers satisfaction. Need I say that the food is absolutely the best ... period.
