One of my friends was married here last weekend and she was lucky, lucky, to have Lori Cole be able to help her. The other University staff had no idea what was going on and nothing would have been taken care of. They didn't even have the bathrooms unlocked. Catering (Sodexho) did a great job however. The food and service were great! Too bad Stanislaus lost Lori and is changing caterers! Not sure if they have anyone that really cares about the weddings any more. Sad.
Last week I went with my sister to look at this place for her wedding and the lady wouldn't even take us on a tour. She couldn't answer most of our questions and has obviously not done any weddings. I feel sorry for any brides that are already booked.
I had to cancel my wedding that was booked here, but was hoping to reschedule for next spring, BUT now I heard that Lori is not there any more AND they are changing caterers....so that means they have nobody that knows anything about weddings! Going to have to seriously re-think whether I want to have my wedding here now.
The grounds are so beautiful... the bridge is such a nice photo background.. waterfall/fountains... and the facilities are so nice, too! The staff is wonderful!
I am getting married this fall at the Gazebo. Lori and the catering staff have been very helpful with all the planning. This place is the most beautiful in our area!
My daughter is getting married here this year and we have been very happy with CSUS and the service we have received. As everyone else below seems to think, I think Lori is great at her job. She has been patient and answered all the questions from a first-time father of the bride.
I just booked my reception for 2010 and can't wait for it to get here! The place is beautiful, the prices reasonable, and the staff (especially Lori!) were really helpful. If you are looking for a great spot for your wedding...this is it!

I have been in two weddings at CSUS and I am alumni from Stanislaus. This is a great location, with great service, and excellent staff. Lori was very knowledgable and went out of her way to assist us with a couple of problems. You can't go wrong with this place!
