Dinners at Café Mahjaic are New American, a mixture of all ethnic backgrounds. All food, sauces and breads made from scratch using naturally raised organic meats and grains. Fresh fish from the ocean. Organic produce when available.
I am from San Francisco and I know good restaurants. I also love to eat good food. Chef John's food creations are exceptional. I have never had a meal at Cafe Mahjaic that I have not enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and personable. I would recommend the Cafe Mahjaic to anyone visiting the Lotus area. GOOD FOOD, GOOD WINE, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE That is the CAFE MAJAIC

Amazing food, awesome atmosphere and super friendly folks. We send everyone there, and they are always stoked by the experience!

This is my 'go to' all time favorite restaurant! Chef John and his staff are great! We dine there at least once a month. Most special occassions are celebrated at Cafe Mahjaic. We love New Years Eve there. Also we have had Thanksgiving Supper there one year.

Intimate, off the beaten track, great cuisine and reasonably priced. Well worth the trek into the hinterlands of El Dorado County.
