I voted for Cafe Bernardo's for consistency! Every time I have been there, it has been consistenly fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant, not too stuffy--- very relaxed. Also, I took my parents there and my mom (aka: "tough cookie") really loved it... my vote could stand on that alone!

Love the lattes in a bowl. Thai noodle salad, salmon blt, the triple chocolate cake, the carrot cake...so many good things for a reasonable price.

For food alone, it's a tie between Bernardo and Evans Kitchen (hidden gem, almost never packed). But we always choose Bernardo because the space itself is just more pleasant. Bernardo wins on ambience and their eggs bernardo is killer! They make great soup, too.

By far the best breakfast in Sac! Inexpensive, sooo tasty! And the wait to get your meal is never long compared to other restaurants. Their lunch and dinner are wonderful too!
