I first met Bud (may he rest in peace) and his wife Hiam in the 70's has they took over a failing sandwich shop on Fairfield. I marveled at the integrity, quality and effort they put into their wonderful sandwiches and kept the prices at a very low price. Almost 40 years later the tradition has continued in their Sacramento location. Try it, you'll like it.

Bud's is the absolute best sandwich shop in town and well worth the wait. True, the pastrami is worth every penny. They also do have many other dishes that are delicious. Try the cole slaw, I love it and I don't like cole slaw in general.
The meats are seasoned perfectly and are prepared daily. Price is right, and one sandwich is good for two lunches - yes they are that big! They don't skimp on anything at Bud's! They've been around a while, and often remember what your "usual" is. The line forms quickly, but they are friendly and worth the wait.
