I have a passion for capturing the human spirit through photography and digital artistry, in a stress-free and fun environment. I attended a private photography school in 1981, and I have been photographing babies, children, families, high school seniors, and weddings for the past 25 years. I am now operating my third successful studio located in Gold River, near Sacramento California. I am a member of Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley, Professional Photographers of America, International Registry of Children's Photographers, National Association of Photoshop Professionals as well as the volunteer organizations, Moment by Moment, and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
Excellence is not easily attained, but Brenda manages to accomplish perfection time and time again. A caring and loving photographer, mother, and human being. She is a pleasure to work with. I am so happy for her and this well deserved honor.
I had a chance to have Brenda capture pictures of my 4 month old son during a picture party, held by my co-workers back in 2005. The baby collage that she put together was superb! We held this photo shoot at a garage and the pictures still turned out like we were at her studio. It was worth going to that picture party that day. I'm glad to see Brenda nominated.

Brenda has been taking our families pictures since before we has kids. Twelve years later she is still one of the best and kindest people we know. She gives back to charities has her own family and still finds the time to find the beauty in our family in her pictures. We love her.
My daughter is the "butterfly kisses" pic you see here and we've been back for more Koukla Kids Portrait Parties since! Brenda is fabulous and her staff is great to work with when processing orders too! We're hooked!
If anyone deserves to win, it has to be Brenda. She is such an amazing lady who does nothing but give and give to EVERYONE, its about time she take. I never have met anybody so genuine and caring as her. She is sincerely an angel sent from Heaven because she has truly changed my life and is such an awesome role model for me. She was my wedding photographer 16 years ago & most recently I was reunited with her at a portrait party in Nov. 2007. She photographed my 4 year old son & I. She has a real talent for capturing the most heartfelt expressions in a very unique way. Her work with children is amazing - especially those suffering from one of the most dreadful diseases there is - leukemia. I don't know where she finds the time to do it all. She is just amazing!
