Book Lovers features nearly 40,000 gently used books in every genre. We also offer audio books, funny greeting cards, gifts, and a great kids corner complete with toys. Come in and visit our store cats (they will follow you around whether you like it or not!).
The bookstore is always well organized. Brad always knows where the books are you are looking for. I'm never disappointed when I go in there. The cats are a nice asset too, they love the customers.
They have a wonderful atmosphere, friendly workers, lovable cats and the best trade-in policy I've ever seen. Everything is clean and organized. It doesn't feel crowded or stuffy like a lot of used book stores. I've never left there empty handed or dissatisfied.
I have never been pampered so well in a book store....if you're after a particular book, Stephanie will go to the ends of the earth to find it. It's an inviting and comfortable place to sit and chat, even if it's not specific to books. Stephanie is an interesting and well-spoken owner...she always seems to be knowledgeable on an incredible variety of genres.
I have only been shopping here for over 1 1/2 years now, but it is one of my favorite "shop stops" when i am in the neighborhood. (my doctor is near there!) I love to see sugar and sweetie, the white one is just the best......(and fattest! LOL) I can ALWAYS find RARE horror that I am looking for, or they will help me find it! Keep up the great work! Let's go to #1!
Most importantly, it feels like a home away from home. A safe place to read and express yourself by joining the booklovers club lead by a award winning author Mort Rumberg or to visit with other published authors, which includes the owner of the Bookstore.
Clean and well-organized bookstore; friendly staff, and two overly-chubby kitties to greet you at the door - and sometimes sit on your lap. (The cats - not the staff .... and then again?...LOL)
The epitome of used book-stores.
In addition, Book Lover's is just that - there's obviously a great love of books and local authors, who are well represented on their special shelves.
Our writer's group meets there twice a month, and couldn't be a treated better.
You can't beat the friendliness and warmth of the owners and employees while
visiting Book Lovers Bookstore. It is like visiting a family and having the wealth of hundreds of good books at your fingertips.
An extra plus is the manner in which they conduct business. A-l plus.
Booklovers is simply a nice place, tons of books, friendly staff, and is also the meeting place for the Sacramento Writer's Group. It's a wonderful book store that features local authors, and new and used books.
