Voting for Round 1 of the KCRA 3 A-List Restaurant Bracket Challenge came to a close last night cementing the matchups for Round 2. The first round was just as exciting as it was unpredictable.
The top vote getter in Round 1 was The Firehouse Restaurant with 684 total votes. That may make them the pole sitter and early-favorite, but it's certainly too early to declare the bracket challenge over.
In what turned out to be the most hotly-contested matchup, Mulvaney's B&L eeked out a win over 5-time A-List winner Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar. The second closest matchup featured The Waterboy vs. Mikuni with The Waterboy emerging over the 6-time A-List winner for Best Sushi.
The other restaurants to advance were Biba Restaurant, Tapa the World, El Novillero, Ella Dining Room and Bar, and Tower Cafe.
Now we're on to Round 2 which promises to be even more action packed. As the field narrows, voters will face even tougher choices. The matchups for Round 2 are:
