Thirty years ago at Santa Ana Tattoo, PJ English did my first tats including the janis joplin wrist piece, a classic unicorn and a shoulder piece that was a pegasus. I was fortunate to have him as a major influence in my own career in the tattoo field. My color is still solid and I have never had to have any of it reworked. THATS WHAT I CALL FANTASTIC!!!! The BackDoor Studio & PJ are just that...AMAZING! My first tattoo that I got was with PJ! To this day, 9 years later, it still looks brand new! I made the mistake to go to Wild Bills for my next tattoo & was EXTREMELY disappointed. I went to PJ to try and get it fixed! I learned my lesson....since then, several tattoos later... I won't go to anyone else other than PJ!

I have received tats from PJ and other members of his staff. PJ is awesome but even if you cant get in with him you can rest assured that the rest of his staff will be quality as well. He surrounds himself with talent like his own.

My wife and I have been going to PJ since 1992. I've never had any ink by anyone else and I can't see myself ever going to anybody else. I trust him completely with my art and my ideas. If it won't work, he'll tell me. He does the best floral work I've ever seen, and his old school is top notch. I've recommended many friends to him and they all love the work he's done. I got my tattoo at Backdoor and I love it! I wanted to expand on a tattoo that I already had. I told them the idea I had and what I wanted to do and they did it FREEHAND! It is the best tattoo I have.
PJ is the best. I got my tattoo, Kokopeli, from the internet and colored it with my colors. I took it to PJ and I am so proud of it. My daughter took a studio portrait of her sons when they were little and he tattooed it on her leg. it looks just like the portrait. she gets lots of compliments on it and we tell them PJ from the Backdoor did it. I carry his cards with me and pass them out. PJ, you are the best !!!!!

PJ is very good at what he does, he did both me and my dads first tattoos, and 3 others for my dad. After i got mine, i was having strangers come up to me and tell me how beautiful my tattoo was and how much they loved it and also asking where i got it done and by who? I plan to get a few more from PJ because i love his work!
I have been going to P.J since college. At Sac State the O Line are called," Hammerheads" He has Tattooed almost every starter since Myself in '89'. His art work is second to none and his professional approach keeps you coming back. I have referred many people to P.J. They as well continue to return.
