A Purrfect Groomer is a full-service: dog, cat, aviary and pocket pet grooming facility. Our business was established on July 15, 2006 and we have been members of the Chamber of Commerce since 2007. We were first place winners at the 2008 West Sacramento Best on the Block, educators at the River City High School career day and have been featured on the Fox 40 morning news. Dana Chavez-Rey Dana was a lead veterinary technician at the North Peninsula Humane Society from 1998 - 2000. While working there she witnessed first hand the importance of basic care for our pets. Dana moved on to emergency veterinary care at North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency as a veterinary technician from 2000 - 2002. From 2002 - 2005 she worked for a local Sacramento veterinary corporation as a veterinary technician that specialized in veterinary dentistry. Dana now is our lead groomer. Alex Chavez-Rey Alex was a state humane officer for San Mateo county from 1997 - 2002. He gained valuable experience handling a variety of cases involving: abandonment, cruelty, crime scene, dangerous animals and their owners. Our retired officer’s new home is behind our reception desk. Analilia Gonzalez Known to friends and family as Lily. Born in the state of Michoacan, Mexico and raised in Sacramento, CA. Dogs ranging from a Golden Retriever to a Maltese, she was born into a life of love for dogs. When Lily is not working she loves to spend time with her husband Stevan, tortoise and fur-children. Other past time interests include: listening to music (especially her favorite artist, Tool), taking pictures, cooking, surfing the web and general reading. Lily has found an enjoyable home at A Purrfect Groomer. Everyday brings new and interesting breeds of dogs -- each with its own personality! We strive to create a nurturing environment where mutual care, trust and respect are standard for every pet. While providing a welcoming and calm atmosphere for you. Our 25lb cat Mimi is always happy (as happy as a cat can get) to go to them - they treat her as the special lady we know she is - I wouldn't take her anywhere else!! They are definitely are a 5 star business.
These people were so nice to my dog. Very personal service, I think the owner used to be a vet tech, so she is really good if you dog has any skin problems or unusual growths (yuk, sorry) like my dog did before his demise.
Also, the location is really close to downtown Sacto.
They take such good care of Gabe and Huey. My dogs are never in there all day like past groomers. They take them in, groom them and call me as soon as they are done. Both dogs can go in at the same time to keep each other company. Alex and Dana know my dogs as soon as we walk in the door and are always amazing with them. I would not take my dogs anywhere else.
I have have taken my dogs to many groomers but I have found A Purrfect Groomer to be the best. They truly care for your animals and my dogs actually enjoy going there.
They are the best! Our little dog, Tigger, has multiple health and physical issues and they are so considerate of his special needs. When Tigger has an appointment, he runs to their front door all excited, he loves them. He never did that at any other place! Their prices are reasonable and when Tigger is finished and waiting to be picked up, he isn't put in a cage, he is in a room, free to roam until we get there. They are very convenient to get to also and the owners truly care about your animal. They do a great job, Tigger has never looked so good!
I was impresssed on how much my kitty Roxanne liked this groomer. Not to mention how nice and clean the lobby smelled. I was super happy when they est. to have my kitty back in 2hours when other places would have me dropp-off in the morning and (I would have to call them) not get her back till 4pm. What also pleased me was they have a groomer that can see her anytime they are open and available, not just certain days of the week. Oh I almost forgot, I also take my double gold cap conure to have his wings & beak trim by them. I highly recommend them!
I would never go anywhere else! Not only was Dana previously my dog's nurse (she was my vets technician), but now she is his groomer, so I know my pup is in good hands. Alex & Dana always make us feel welcome and I think our dog gets dirty just to go see them. They are wonderful and an asset to the city of West Sacramento.
I would not go anywhere else! I do not understand why people pay to wash their own dogs at a self serve, when you can have a medical professional do it at A Purrfect Groomer. I never worry about my dog Max. Because of their impressive back-round with animals I always trust their recommendations. They truly care for my Max!
I have been to several groomers in the area and thier prices, customer service and grooming skills are by far the best. My dogs love it there so much they are sad when they have to go home.
They are the most professional, competent groomers in the Sacramento area. Both of my dogs enjoy getting groomed there and they always are sparkling clean! The owners also have extensive experience in the field of animal care, so I never worry about anything happening to my babies!
They are always very courteous to me and take good care of Gilligan. They are up front about the cost and they are really gentle and kind to Gilligan. He loves going there. He is a white dog, and they are the first groomer that really get him shinning white.
