Open from 8 am to 5 pm.Sun through Tues., 8 am to 9 pm, Wed. through Sat. We serve breakfast Mon. - Fri until 11 am, Sat and Sun until 1:30 pm; lunch and afternoon tea from 11 am to 5 pm daily. The Home Style dinner menu is served Wed though Sat from 4:30 pm until 9 pm. Thursday night is couples night, your wife or girfriend gets 50% off her entree. Friday and Saturday features live guitar music.Our customers tell us that we have the best scones they've ever eaten. The atmosphere is unique, and the menu has a large variety of items, including soups, sandwiches, specialties, including the best quiche around. Most of the items on both menus are made in house, including the soups, and desserts.We serve hot tea, 25 various flavors, coffee, iced tea, wine and beer. You can borrow a hat to wear while you are there which adds a party atmosphere. We have received a "4 Star" rating from the Sacramento Bee's "Counter Culture" column.
What's not to like, great food, great service and just relaxing place to have breakfest, lunch, dinner or just enjoy some down time with a cup of tea and their wonderful scones.
Enjoyed Afternoon Tea at 4pm. Sandwiches were hearty rather than a dainty (small versions of their regular sandwiches) like cashew chicken and turkey waldorf. Shop is decorated in European cafe-au-lait colours and marble topped tables, rather than the lace tablecloths at English style tea shops. A samovar was on display. However, the teapot and cups were English "traditional". Hats to dress up in. They removed the tea leaves from the pots after the correct steeping time so the tea did not get bitter. The mark of a true tea shop. Not a frilly place, but has European charm.
I have tried there breakfast & lunch every time it was excellent and Now they have Dinners so I tried most of there dinners and what can I say but Awesome my #1 is there Gumbo best darn gumbo I ever had.they also have live guitar music friday & saturday nights you got to try this place.
This is more than just a tea house. They serve a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu along with Afternoon Tea which is served all day. I can go here with my husband and he can have one of their great Ortega Beef sandwiches and a glass of wine, while I have my Afternoon tea served on a tower. All of their food is first rate. It's a great place to have fun.
It is so charming and fun. Put on a hat ,act silly and have the best tea ever! I Love the scones and cheese cake. They have a great dish that serves a little of everything. That one is awesome!
I visit A Maad Tea Party Cafe about once a week and keep introducing my friends to it.
I love the variety of teas and the friendly and personal service. The scones are delicious. The salads and sandwiches I have tried are excellent.
I've been visiting the area for several months and always feel comfortable eating here alone. The food is great, generous portions, and their scones are addictive.
